OK, so maybe no one has developed an equivalent to Amazon’s “Alexa” for government services yet, but if you have a question for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), they’ve got an answer: just ask!
For example, questions can be directed to staff at any of OSHA’s local offices (a list of locations is available at www.osha.gov/html/RAmap.html) or by emailing OSHA directly (email contact information is available at www.osha.gov/ecor_form.html).
Diligent business owners may go a step further and invite OSHA to conduct an on-site consultation. According to OSHA, such a consultation is completely separate from a typical OSHA inspection, and any hazards identified are not subject to citation or penalty.
